Containers and Wrapping Paper of Christmas Gifts Sometimes More Interesting.
By the beginning of September, Christmas gifts are on display in some shop windows, which seems to extend the 'Christmas Season' beyond the Christmas Season of olden days. Even with such a variety of Christmas gifts on display, and even with weeks and weeks to buy them, the choice of Christmas Gifts can still sometimes be a problem. Older children are, more than likely, quite sure what they would like for their Chistmas gifts, perhaps a new games program for their computers, or clothes with designer labels. Younger children are less certain what they would like for their Christmas Gifts. Very young children would probably be more interested in the colorful wrapping paper and the empty container, than the Christmas gift itself!
What Christmas gift can we buy for Grandma? What Christmas gift can we buy for Great-Aunt Sarah? Searching the internet might give some ideas, and more and more Christmas gifts are now being bought on the internet. No walking from shop to shop looking for a suitable gift; being able to choose a Christmas gift at any time of the day; having the Christmas gifts delivered to the door, what more could anyone ask for?
For a family with children it is always a challenge to buy a Christmas gift well in advance of the day, and then be able to hide it from the prying eyes of the children, determined to have a peep at what they could expect to have on Christmas Day! Another challenge is waiting for them to go to bed and then wrapping up the Christmas gifts in colorful paper, being constantly alert for any sound that might suggest the children were coming to investigate whether Father Christmas had been to pay a visit. What would Christmas be like without children ?

Many hours had been taken up with the wrapping of the Christmas Gifts in colorful paper, but not many minutes taken to release the Christmas gift from its packing, soon to be scattered over the carpet.
