Wider Choice of Gluten Free Foods in Response to Demand.
Gluten free foods do not contain ingredients derived from wheat, barley, or any cereal containing gluten. Several grains and starch sources such as potatoes and rice are considered acceptable in gluten free foods. If a person suffers from celiac disease then a diet of gluten free foods is essential, but to be restricted to gluten free foods does not mean that meals have to be unattractive and of doubtful flavor.
Most reputable hotels are able to provide gluten free foods for their guests. Meals including gluten free foods are available in restaurants if they are forewarned of such needs. Going to stay in foreign hotels is not restricted by a need for gluten free foods, but of course the hotels should be pre-warned, when the bookings are made. Further information about gluten free foods is available from the Coeliac Society
