Peacock Feathers Replaced by Feathers of Phoenix When There are Four Suns !.
*****
*****
It was said that peacock feathers could be found in the local forests, so it was not surprising to find peacock feathers used for different purposes. There were inevitably hand crafted items using peacock feathers on show in the local markets and shops. Peacocks are said to inhabit the forests and in one park we visited, there was a large model of the bird, with its tail of peacock feathers fanned out in all its splendor.
Perhaps one day the peacock feathers used for the fans will be replaced with feathers of the Phoenix, and on that day, a fire-breathing dragon will come charging down the streets !! !! ! The feathers of the Cock Pheasant seen in the UK are colorful enough but dont seem to match the peacock feathers in their color and markings.

The two fans of peacock feathers shown in the picture on the left, were bought at an open market near a restaurant in which we had our lunch. They were a fine example of the craftmanship of the maker, and the colors of the peacock feathers appeared to change as Zhong moved them from side to side. The only problem was to ensure that the peacock feathers did not break when they were put into our suitcases!
