Shapes of Seashells Evolved Over Centuries Presented on Stall Collection.

The shapes and colors of seashells displayed on a stall near the steps to the beach were nowhere to be found on the beach itself. The seashells that were found on the beach were very few and very small. The seawater was crystal clear but no large seashells could be seen on the seabed. On the promenade was an example of seashells displayed on a plinth, the home of an unknown monster of the deep. Although this particular example of seashells was a model made from concrete or some other material, it looked quite real.
Children are told that if they hold the seashells to their ears, they would hear the sounds of the ocean waves. The children we saw on the beach itself were not interested in seashells, they were too busy throwing pebbles into the sea.
