Najoskar Hopes To Pass Driving Test After Receiving Driving Lessons.
Take driving lessons, pass driving test, and buy a car, these are the plans of Najoskar when he reaches the age of seventeen. He has already had some driving lessons from his Mentor, but these were on a private driveway. In these driving lessons he learned to start and park the car, move the car at walking pace, and carry out forward and reverse hill starts. Najoskar is looking forward to his driving lessons in driving schools learning to change gear smoothly; to react to other traffic hazards, and to learn other procedures ready for the driving test. He says that part of his driving lessons is to observe road conditions and the actions of other drivers, when he is travelling in other cars as a passenger.
There was a time when it wasn't necessary to pass a driving test to drive a car on the highway. Then the law changed and driving licences were issued to those passing a driving test. The first tests were simple compared to present day standards which are now
in two parts. The first part is about the Highway Code, and a test of awareness of hazards, amongst other things, which have to be answered correctly in a limited time. When this Theory part of the driving test has been passed, the driving test, driving a car on the road, can be taken. When both parts of the driving test have been passed, a full driving licence can be obtained with entitlement to drive a car, without supervision, on the highway.

When Najoskar has finished his driving lessons, and passed his driving test, he wants to buy a car. His car is to be big, and powerful, and beautiful, just like the car shown in the picture, used at a wedding in London. He is of the opinion that having worked so hard on his driving lessons, he will be entitled to a suitable reward. The fact is that he was so well able to deal quickly with his driving lessons that his reward will be passing his driving test.
