The photo of the China boats at the top of this page was taken after a visit to the Buddha rock carvings at Dazu. We did not expect to be able to take a photo of China boats during the journey back through the Chinese countryside to Chungking, but the driver of the Chinese Tour Coach made a detour. As we crossed the bridge over the river, the driver drove very slowly and so this photo of China boats was added to our collection of Chinese pictures. From some of the Chinese boats, smoke curled from the cabin chimneys; was someone cooking or making Chinese tea?

The Chinese Phoenix Boat shown in the photo of China from Kunming was taken in the local Minorities Park. During our visit to Kunming, the Moon Festival occured. Our host brought us a box of Chinese Moon Cakes; the hotel staff brought Moon Cakes to our room and when we went to a local Chinese restaurant for our supper, complimentary Moon Cakes were brought to the table !

| A Dim Sum meal of Chinese food served at a Chinese restaurant with a wide variety of Chinese dishes selected from trollies wheeled by the restaurant staff from table to table. Most of the food that had not been eaten at the end of the meal was packed in doggy-bags to take home. |
