We had to pass the market stalls to visit Wen Wen and his parents, who were not expecting us. The Chinese hospitality immediately took over, and tea, sweets, fruit and small cakes were brought to a table for us. From the first floor balcony there was a good view of the market stalls on the road below. There were also farmers market stalls on the nearby square. Wen Wen had grown a lot since I first saw him two years earlier, so I was at last able to give him the present of a pack of ten dinky vehicles. I had searched our local UK market stalls many times to find something that did not bear the label, "Made In China" !
