The Guilin landscape dominates the town. The Guilin landscape with its mountain peaks breaking the skyline, has been portrayed by many Chinese artists. To get the best view of the Guilin landscape, try and arrive at the town by plane, then the mountains, paddy fields and river will be spread out below you. That is how I first saw the Guilin landscape, and it is a cherished memory. The Guilin landscape is ever changing, from sunrise to sunset, although not many tourists have the time to sit and watch the magic of it all. The shops and market stalls in the town have packs of postcards of the Guilin landscape, photographs taken from prime vantage points and ideal times.............
