DAZU
There are many sites near Dazu having carved Buddha statues. In the one we visited there was a huge reclining Sleeping Buddha entering Nirvana.
WUXI We came out of the silk workshops and stood beside these building workers wearing bamboo hats, who exchanged comments with their mates on scaffolding across the road.
GUILIN At the side of a lake opposite our hotel, two grandmas were having a good gossip, with a packet of cigarettes and a box of matches close to hand.
CHINESE CHILDREN In the Grand View Gardens these two boys were having their lunch. At the time, many chubby children could be seen in the city. Later the Government issued warnings about over feeding.
