| The diversity of China is shown in the China pictures available from this page. There are some wonderful China pictures of Buddha Rock Carvings at Dazu on the personal webpages and in contrast, some China pictures of intricate Chinese papercuts handcut by Chinese farmers in Shanxi Province. There are other pictures of Chinese people such as the China pictures of Chinese soldiers in Tiananmen Square or of a Chinese boy trying to catch a plane! |

| The start of these personal webpages and the Vietnam pictures, followed a chance meeting with a young man named Hoang in 1979. Hoang was one of the "Boat People" from Vietnam who arrived in the UK. In due course I was given the responsibility of teaching him some English. A few weeks later I met his family and friends, and subsequently their families and friends, and friends and families, of friends and families.... and so it was that the ideas for the personal webpages began. |

| A Dim Sum meal of Chinese food served at a Chinese restaurant with a wide variety of Chinese dishes selected from trollies wheeled by the restaurant staff from table to table. Most of the food that had not been eaten at the end of the meal was packed in doggy-bags to take home. |
