Bird's Nest, Olympic Stadium In Beijing; The Bird's Nest as Viewed Through a Gap In Fence.

The Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium attracted many visitors, eager to get a glimpse of the Stadium, being constructed for the Beijing Olympic Games in August, 2008.The Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium was certainly very impressive even from the site boundary from where the above photo was taken. Thanks to previous visitors to this location, who had taken it on themselves to force a gap in the boundary fence, a reasonable view of the Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium, still under construction, was available to us. There were many Chinese visitors at this particular location, most wanting to have their photo taken with the Bird's Nest Stadium in the background.

The passing traffic at this section of the road on the boundary of the Olympic site had much to contend with. The visitors who had come purposely to see the Bird's Nest Stadium, seemed oblivious to the dangers to which they were subjecting themselves as they took up positions, sometimes in the middle of the road, so that a good part of the Bird's Nest Stadium would be seen in the photo taken.
