View Above The Fence At The Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium In Beijing; The Bird's Nest as Viewed From Boundary Fence.

Picture of Beijing Olympic Bird's Nest Stadium taken by holding camera above the boundary fence.

To obtain photos of the Olympic Stadium on the Beijing site was sometimes a problem, but one solution was to hold the camera as high as possible above the boundary fence. There was a gap in the fence itself through which the Bird's Nest Statium could be viewed, but of course the excavation work, machinery, and piles of earth, dominated the foreground. The higher the camera was held, a clearer image of the Olympic Stadium was possible. When looking at the outside shell of the Bird's Nest Stadium, it is difficult to understand how the design and construction, of such a unique stadium could be visualized.

It is not surprising that so many people were gathered on the road seeking a view of the Olympic Stadium. Many of the people were Chinese taking photos of the Bird's Nest Stadium for their own purposes, or being photographed with the Stadium as a backgound. Even after the Beijing Olympics in August 2008 has run its full course, and all the competing atheletes have returned to their own countries, the Bird's Nest Stadium will continue to be one of considerable interest to the Chinese people and to the foreign visitors to Beijing.
