Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium In Beijing; Excavator Working On Olympic Site Dwarfed By Size Of Bird's Nest Stadium.

Picture of Olympic Site viewed over green boundary fence, and with excavator at work near Bird's Nest Stadium.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do! Chinese people were standing on a pile of earth to look over the boundary fence for a view of the Bird's Nest Stadium, and to take photographs of the Stadium itself. When the earth pile was unoccupied, it became my vantage point for taking a few photos of the Olympics site, and of course of the Olympic Stadium, the like of which I had never seen before. Visitors to the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympics, which will be held in the Bird's Nest Stadium, will certainly have a Stadium to enter at least in keeping with the Stadia they may have seen in other countries that were acting as hosts for previous Olympic Games.

The city of Beijing, when the 2008 Olympics has come to a close, when all the competitors with and without Olympic Medals, have returned to their own countries, will have another site to attract the tourists to the city. The Bird's Nest Stadium will undoubtedly be a feature to attract Chinese people to the city, to see for themselves the two Olympic Stadia having such unique design features.
