Bird's Nest, Olympic Stadium And Bubble Building, Bathed In Sunlight On The Beijing Olympic Site.![]()
Wu drove us to another part of the road, where an entrance to the Beijing Olympics site, was guarded by two uniformed men. I asked one of them if we could swap clothes for a short time so that I could get onto the site to take some photos of the Bird's Nest Stadium and the National Swimming Center. No Luck ! He just smiled and shook his head, so we moved to another entrance that had a watchman on duty.
Kate was able to persuade him to let us through for a few minutes so that the ''foreigner'' could take some photos on the Olympics Site, so we were at last in luck! The ''Bird's Nest'' is the main Olympic Stadium where all the ceremonies and some events will take place. Next to the ''Bird's Nest'' is the National Swimming Center, sometimes called the ''Bubble Building'' and both these buildings are very impressive.
The city of Paris has the Eiffell Tower, and London has the Tower Bridge, both of which attract foreign visitors. It is not difficult to assume that when the 2008 Olympics in Beijing have become a matter of history, the Bird's Nest Stadium and the Bubble Building aka., National Swimming Center, will become part of the major attractions in Beijing. "" The Eiffel Tower (French: Tour Eiffel) is an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars beside the River Seine in Paris. The Eiffel Tower has become a global icon of France and is one of the most recognizable structures in the world. It has become an iconic symbol of London. Tower Bridge is owned and maintained by Bridge House Estates, a charitable trust overseen by the Corporation of London. Src: Wikipedia.org"" |
