Picture Of Underpass And Overpass On Beijing Olympics Site Near National Swimming Center.

Picture of underpass and overpass near the National Swimming Center of the Beijing Olympics.

The new infrastructure to service the many Athletes and Visitors to the Beijing Olympics required new roads, underpasses and overpasses, although these would be expected and virtually devalued as the 2008 Games progressed. During the Olympic Games these new roads would certainly be much used. After the Olympic Games have come to a close and the athletes and visitors have returned to their hometowns, the new roads become a much valued improvement in the area that perhaps would not otherwise have been made.

Hosting the Olympic Games involves a considerble amount of investment and expenditure, in whichever country they are held. The Host Country may hope that their own athletes competing in the Olympic Games, will gain some of the prime positions in their respective events, but whatever the results are, there is likely to be considerable benefit to the cities and towns in the country, where the new Olympic Sites have been constructed. The site of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will undoubtedly be a good investment for the city.
