Hosting the Olympic Games involves a considerble amount of investment and expenditure, in whichever country they are held. The Host Country may hope that their own athletes competing in the Olympic Games, will gain some of the prime positions in their respective events, but whatever the results are, there is likely to be considerable benefit to the cities and towns in the country, where the new Olympic Sites have been constructed.
