Kofi Annan Talks To Chinese Doctors Working At A Hospital In Niger.
Chinese Doctor Zhong surprises Kofi Annan by talking to him in French language.
Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the United Nations, on a visit to Africa, spent some time in the country of Niger, where he met a group of Chinese Doctors.
Kofi Annan went to the hospital in Niger to inspect the Aid Post for undernourished children. The Chinese doctors at the hospital were told that Kofi Annan wanted to meet them during his visit, because he had heard of the very difficult conditions in which the doctors worked in this famine area.
On the 23rd August, the day of Kofi Annan's visit, the Chinese doctors joined other members of the hospital staff, under some trees to await his arrival, but the doctors were put in front of the queue. Everyone hoped to have a photo taken with Kofi Annan so most of the people waiting to see him brought their cameras.
