Crate Of Mandarin Oranges Of Different Sizes Ready For Collection By Chinese Wholesaler.

Picture of mandarines boxed ready for wholesaler, at home of Chinese family living on river bank.

The mixed sizes of the Mandarin Oranges in a crate at the home of the Chinese family who had grown them, was something that would not be seen in the UK supermarkets. The Mandarin Oranges in their net bags being sold in the supermarkets, would all be of the same size, and not mixed. The larger mandarin oranges would be offered at a higher price than the net bags of smaller oranges. The Chinese family responsible for growing the Mandarin Oranges shown in the photo above did not appear to have sorted the fruits into sizes, and might have been more concerned with weight of the crop, than sizes of the fruit. Their ultimate aim was to get all the crop sold and then start planning on what vegetables to grow in their garden, and whether these vegetables also could be sold.
